The holidays are all about celebrating with the ones you love — and what better way to do that than by sipping on delicious cocktails surrounded by Christmas lights, mistletoe, and over-the-top decorations? Here are some of the best places in Toronto to visit this holiday season for a little festive cocktail fun.
Miracle is a cocktail bar concept that has locations all over the world. Miracle Toronto, Featuring cocktails from Civil Liberties, is the city’s staple holiday cocktail bar. The decorations are over the top and the cocktails are super festive. This year they will be hosting two locations, the original on Bloor Street, and a new location at Harbourfront. They take reservations and walk-ins at both locations. The reservations cost $15 and includes kernels popcorn, and a miracle light-up beanie. With each cocktail ordered, $1 will be donated to Nellie's Women Shelter.

Giggly Christmas - Project Gigglewater
Project Gigglewater is an experimental cocktail bar with an atmosphere as fun as it’s menu. For their Christmas pop-up, A Giggly Christmas, the space is decked out in Christmas decor, and they’re serving up innovative and creative cocktails that are crafted for the holiday season. $1 from each cocktail sold will be donated to Covenant House Toronto. Reservations are available to pre-book your table.

Located at The Well, this experience takes the winter cocktailing outside. It’s hosted by the team at BarChef, one of the highest regarded bars in the city. This holiday bar is an immersive holiday experience that takes place inside a yurt and extends out to a patio decorated with Nordic inspired decoration and heaters to keep you warm on the snowy patio. If you want to check it out they do take reservations so you can guarantee yourself a seat.

Compton Ave will transport you to Central London with its English-inspired dishes and innovative, conceptual cocktail menu. The space typically feels like an elegant English mansion, but for their Christmas Carol activation, it transforms into a cozier, more festive version of itself. If their holiday menu is anything like what they offer throughout the rest of the year, this is one you won’t want to miss. Reservations are recommended to secure your spot, and a dollar from each cocktail purchased will be donated to the Salvation Army.

Mistletoe and Margaritas - Papi Chulos
Located on Ossington, Papi Chulos is serving up… you guessed it margaritas. They are mixing up some festive versions, including some pitchers and margarita towers, aswell as other shots and cocktails. This experience is walk-in only, and doesn’t take reservations.

House of York Holiday Experience - Fairmont Toronto
The Fairmont Toronto has changed the way they do holidays. In previous years they have run a kitschy Christmas bar called Thirsty Elf. Now they’ve scaled back and gone for a more upscale, cozy winter cabin vibe for their holiday cocktail experience. The House of York Experience has a rustic charm that will evoke the feelings of holiday nostalgia. Located across from Union Station, this experience is easily accessible by transit. It is walk-in only and does not take any reservations

The Tipsy Reindeer is known for going all out on Christmas décor and claims to be “Toronto’s most festive cocktail bar.” They serve “Reindeer Elixirs” (shots), “Reindeer Nectars” (cold cocktails), and “Warm and Tipsy” drinks for those chilly nights. A portion of profits is donated to local animal shelters.
The location was previously near St. Clair and Keele, but they have moved to a new location on College.

Christmas on Queen- Aleria on Queen
Aleria serves modern Mediterranean cuisine, and for the holidays, they deck the halls with sparkling lights and over-the-top decorations. Their holiday cocktail menu features festive drinks like the Mrs. Claus Spritz and the Santa Baby. Reservations are available so you and your friends can secure a spot and enjoy the fun.

Java Jingle Holiday Hangout Bar - Little Sister Indonesian Food Bar
Ever wanted to spend Christmas in the tropics? Little Sister Food Bar, known for its delicious Dutch-Indonesian fare, transforms for the holidays with a Balinese twist on the typical Christmas bar. Instead of spruce and pine, expect tropical plants and vibrant décor that’ll make you feel like you’ve escaped the winter chill.
They offer a full menu of creative Christmas cocktails inspired by both classic and modern recipes. Reservations can be made by email if you want to secure a spot for your group.

Naughty Nutcracker - Little Ese
Little Èse, known for its Italian and Mexican fusion comfort food, goes all-in on holiday cheer. The space is decked out in festive décor and serves up Christmas cocktails such as Santa’s Margarita and the Holly Spritz. Reservations are recommended to guarantee your group a spot.

The newest addition to the list, Papi and Rosita, is a Mexican snack bar that opened this past September from the owners of Papi Chulo’s. For the holidays, they’ll be transforming their space into a Christmas wonderland, complete with festive cocktails and cozy vibes. This experience is first-come, first served.

As part of their Holiday Hills, Stackt Markets' holiday events and installations, they have an espresso martini bar located in a festive tent. They also have other festive installations and vendor markets, so you can do some gift shopping.
